Assisted Setup
Assisted Setup helps you turn a goal into a connected Bytes activity without having to assemble each part separately.
You can open Assisted Setup from the main Bytes navigation at any time.
How it works
Bytes first asks a few practical questions about what you want to achieve, where customers will encounter the activity and whether you already have a destination page.
Your answers are saved to the current workspace, so you can leave the setup and continue later.
Bytes then prepares a recommendation across three connected areas:
- Activity and reporting: an Activity Group that keeps related measurement together.
- Link and QR: a measurable
jaww.wsLink and its matching QR. - Physical touchpoint: Offline Engagement context for the printed or physical item customers will encounter.
Review each step before creating anything. You can edit the suggested values, exclude items you do not need, include everything, or save the setup for later.
Cancel an in-progress setup
If you decide you no longer want to continue an in-progress Assisted Setup, choose Cancel setup from the Assisted Setup reminder on the Dashboard.
Bytes asks you to confirm before cancelling. Cancelling stops that setup session and removes the reminder from the Dashboard. It does not change or delete Links, Activity Groups, Offline Engagement or other activity already in the workspace.
You can start a new Assisted Setup at any time afterwards.
Create the setup
The final step contains the create action.
Before creation, Bytes shows a confirmation explaining what will be created. Existing workspace activity is not changed or deleted by the setup.
For contextual setups such as PRINTING United, current plan and promotional entitlements still apply. Bytes can keep unavailable items prepared until the required access or input is available rather than bypassing those controls.
After setup completes
When the approved setup is complete, Bytes shows a completion page rather than leaving you on the review form.
The page summarises the Activity Group, measurable Links and Offline Engagement items created by the setup. Each created item has a direct route back into the relevant Bytes area so you can continue working with it.
The completion page also suggests useful next actions, including:
- download QR output for artwork from the relevant Link or Offline Engagement;
- monitor Link performance;
- review overall Analytics;
- review workspace settings and identity;
- review your personal profile;
- start another Assisted Setup when you are ready to prepare a different activity.
For a PRINTING United setup, the completion page also provides a route back to the Event Pass experience.
QR output
QR export is part of the normal Bytes QR workflow. Open the relevant Link or Offline Engagement from the completion page to choose the output profile, format and physical size appropriate to the real placement.
See QR codes for the available QR output options and print-safety guidance.
